My last 2024 VysionQuest Retreat in Australia is on the horizon. This journey will take place in the serene, green landscapes of Northern NSW, Australia. It will be our 65th VysionQuest Retreat and our first one at Nest Byron Bay.
I met the owners of Nest, Ken and Rachel, over a decade ago on Bali and spent a lot of time adventuring with them on Lombok when my kids were little. Now they have little kids, and they've recently fulfilled a dream of owning a retreat center by buying Nest. They invited me to run a VysionQuest Retreat there and we've very excited to collaborate to create a magical and unforgettable experience for you on their stunning hinterland property.

Nestled in the serene landscape of the Byron hinterland, Nest Retreat Center offers a unique blend of rustic charm and modern comfort, creating the perfect environment for your VysionQuest journey.
There are many hidden spots where you can take time to be with yourself and immerse in silence. There are also comfortable common areas to enjoy meals and conversations together, such as the dining-lounge room with magnificent views to Mount Boogarem. Share stories around the fire pit, swim in the freshwater dam, take in the scenery from one of the many decks.
The heart of Nest is the large, architecturally designed main house. This well-built home features a luxury kitchen, where our chef will be preparing your gourmet meals. The long timber dining table is the ideal spot for communal dining, while the cozy lounge room with its inviting fireplace offers a warm and intimate setting for evening reflections and connections.
Surrounding the main house is a covered terrace, providing plenty of comfy spaces to rest, contemplate, and soak in the beautiful views. With six modern bedrooms, the main house offers various bed configurations to suit our group's needs. Each room is designed to provide a restful sanctuary after a day of transformative activities.
Rustic Cottages: Privacy and Adventure
In addition to the main house, Nest features two rustic, one-room cottages that offer a more private and adventurous experience. One cottage serves as a versatile space, doubling as a treatment room that can be converted into a bedroom. Although it has no bathroom of its own, the main house bathroom is just a short 10-meter walk away.
The second cottage, located about 150 meters from the main house and en route to the yoga space, offers a true back-to-nature experience with its composting toilet. Both cottages provide a unique opportunity to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life and reconnect with nature.
